Continuous Narrow Strip Thickness and Width Gauge

This determined for precision continuous contact measurement of narrow strip and flat wire thickness and width measurement in two axes perpendicular to each other. Type: MTSUP-301

The measured strip is directed by pneumatically controlled guide rollers made of hardened stainless steel ensuring precision measurement. The gauge sliding in the operating position is carried out semi-automatically using pneumatic system. The design of the diamond contacts which are permanently touching the measured strip secures they do not impair the appearance of the material and have long service life. The pneumatic thrust of the contacts on the strip can be continuously controlled. As the thickness measuring line distance from the strip edge is adjustable the strip cross section can also be measured.

The control unit enables:

  • analogue (hand) display of deviation from the nominal thickness
  • analogue (hand) display of deviation from the nominal width
  • digital display of thickness allowing to set and monitor the lower and upper limits
  • digital display of width allowing to set and monitor the lower and upper limits
  • analog output 0 - 20 mA
  • digital switches to set the nominal thickness and width
